If you are planning to visit any of the following countries where yellow fever is known to be prevalent:
You should visit our travel clinic and the pharmacist will assess whether the vaccine is suitable for you.
Some countries require proof of the vaccination before allowing you to enter the country.
Yellow fever is a serious infection spread through the bite of a mosquito. The mosquitoes that have the virus are usually found in towns and rural areas, and tend to bite during the day.
If you’re travelling to an area with a risk of yellow fever there’s a highly effective vaccination given as an injection in the upper arm. The vaccination needs to be administered at least 10 days before travel to allow it time to work.
For an assessment, expert advice and vaccinations, book an appointment below.
Ideally, you should visit us six to eight weeks before departure, but it’s never too late to seek advice if you’re leaving sooner.
Attend the Pharmacy at your chosen time and the pharmacist will discuss your travel vaccination requirements with you and provide your chosen medication.
